Dictionary Pictures is a small sample collection of 48 pictures for use with the dictionaries created with the 'Verbs & Nouns' language learning program. You can download 'Verbs & Nouns' from any Info-Mac mirror site or from my home-page at:
http://users.netmatters.co.uk/dandaforbes
The pictures can be used with the English dictionaries like: English-German, English-Spanish, etc. You can download these dictionaries from any Info-Mac mirror or directly from my home-page. You can also create your own dictionaries.

for the details. To use these pictures for browsing or language exercises you should follow the these steps:
1. Make sure that the program Verbs & Nouns is installed on your Hard Disk.
2. Locate the English-... dictionary that you want to use (for example English-German).
3. Drag the files Sound and Pictures and Sound and Pictures keys into the same folder as the dictionary concerned.
4. Open the dictionary, and select Dictionary Settings... from the Show menu.
5. Make sure that the text inside the text-box in the General part reads "Sound and Pictures", and close the Settings window.
6. Drag the text-file words&pictures into the Browse window of Verbs & Nouns - the group of words which have the pictures assigned will be created.
7. Now you can use these words for the exercises, browsing, or presentation (with the Play button).
If your dictionary does not contain the pre-recorded sound then you can check the check-box Use text-to-speech for sound? in the Preferences window. Refer to the online-help in 'Verbs & Nouns' for more details.
